Melted Crayon Art

Students can create Abstract works of art using melted crayons as the medium. The process includes: creating color schemes, hot-gluing crayons to canvas board, heating crayons with a blow-dryer, using the hot air to direct the drips of melting wax and setting aside to let the wax solidify once again.
Special notes: Make sure you have a well covered work space (I used old newspaper) as the blow-dryer WILL blow the wax around.
Supplies: Crayons (preferably Crayola, they melt better) 3 crayons wide is about 1 inch. Plan ahead.
Hot-Glue gun
Canvas Board (sturdy enough to hold the weight)
Blow-Dryer
Scrap Newspaper (or something to keep the work area clean)
